In many ways, they are similar. Both serve to commemorate the amount of time passed since a member has smoked their last cigarette. The important distinction between the two is the intervals in which they occur. Anniversaries are displayed once every 30 days for the first year of your quit. After you have completed your first smoke-free year, Anniversaries appear on an annual basis. On the other hand, Milestones are displayed to mark the passage of significant early days of one's quit. For instance, a user that has quit for 30 days will have seen Milestones marking their Quit Date, one full day smoke-free, 7 days smoke free, 14 days smoke free, and so on.
