QuitNet first launched on the Web in 1995. The original idea was conceived of by Nathan Cobb, MD when he was a smoking cessation counselor at a Boston clinic. The project was adopted by Join Together, a project of Boston University School of Public Health. With the University's help, QuitNet.com, Inc. was formed in 2000 to take on the role of expanding QuitNet into a self supporting service operating worldwide. For more on the company, click here.
